Hello and welcome to my blog!
I am so excited to announce that I will be going to the Dominican Republic for a month this June with Adventures in Missions! I cannot wait to travel with a team of young adults to a new country and serve the community. On this trip, we will be focused on community service, door-to-door ministry, teaching English, building relationships with the locals through sports, and showing God’s love through each interaction.
One of the main reasons I have decided to go on this trip is my desire to serve others and spread God’s love. Growing up, I have always been interested in and felt drawn toward mission work. When I heard about The World Race, I was instantly hooked. I found that this organization’s goals were to reach a broken and hurting world that doesn’t know Jesus, love people, serve others, discover your God-given identity, and grow in your relationship with Him. In 2021, I had committed and fully fundraised to go to Africa with Adventures in Missions. However, with the pandemic and all the travel restrictions, I was unable to go. I knew mission work was something I felt called to do, so I continued to pray that the Lord would call me back when the time was right. As I wrap up my junior year of nursing school at Baylor University, my passion for serving, loving others, and showing compassion to people from all different walks of life has only grown. And after years of prayer, it is finally happening! I cannot wait to experience God’s work in a new and powerful way on this trip and take my faith to the next level.
I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to go to the Dominican Republic and share the Gospel with others. I know that it will be a challenging yet extremely rewarding experience, and I cannot wait to see how God will work through my team and me.
I hope you continue to follow my blog as I post updates about the trip and my life as I embark on this journey! Thank you again for all your support and prayers!
